Leaving Lagos for Osun, such was the story of Joe, many people will risk anything just to go to Lagos and experience the life of Lagos, but for Joe it was entirely a different story, he is just fed up with the hustling and bustling life of Lagos, he wants something different; something different from what he has always been used to, something different from the life he has been living since he was born, something different from what he has always knew since he was born. In fact he needs to change his environment.
And Osun state was where he chose to start a new life, he actually chose the land of virtue to the center of excellence, that's absurd many will say, but to him that is the best decision.
Living in Osun can be said to be wonderful for Joe, and he actually indeed had a worth while experience, coupled with new experience.
When Joe first got to Osun state he was captivated by how neat and peaceful the place is, with less bustling in the street of Osun, Osogbo. And how things seem so organized without the law enforcements forcing law and order into the people, because the people seem to be law abiding without being forced.
He assumed that maybe Osun state is peaceful because it's an indegenous state; that's Osun state is populated by the very people of Osun.
Finding a house in Osun seem almost effortless to Joe, because there are lots of ample choices for him to choose from, it is even more mind blowing for him when he realized he doesn't have to pay much for a very good, neat, standard, and comfortable apartment. That's just a wow for Joe.
After settling into his apartment, Joe decides to roam the street of Osun, Osogbo. And he was captivated by what he saw.
What Joe was seeing isn't anything any other person around him was seeing ( or so he was thinking).Joe can be seen standing amazed, and lost in his own very illusions.
Joe in his illusions was envisaging Osun ,Osogbo as a land filled with gold, that even the sand of Osun can be sold to make money.
Joe was thinking, Osun state is a state with less commercialization and industrialization, and also less competition.
Probably you may be thinking Joe is crazy, but there is a calculation going on in Joe's head you may not understand.
Joe was thinking let's say Lagos population is twelve million, and the population of Osun is three million, Lagos has more people, more industries ,and more competition, so let's assume that Lagos has hundred companies to provide for those twelve million people , so if we are to divide twelve million by hundred it will give us one hundred and twenty thousand, which means some companies will get customers more than one hundred and twenty, while some will get less .
But if it were to be in Osun, with less industrialized and commercialization, and very few supply of good and services, things should be better.
Now let's say the population of Osun is three million and they only has thirty companies, if we are to divide three million by thirty it will give us three hundred thousand, which means the few companies available have more people to supply their goods and services, and more income than the people of Lagos.
But how many are thinking it that way, the main issue is that they are starting business as an activity and not to sort the problem of the people. But there are so many problem to be solved that will earn you money in Osun state, the issues is that people are not widening their knowledge.
That's is actually the view point of Joe, what is your view.
