KAFTAN AND RAWANI - DAY 12

In Nigeria, Kaftans and Rawani are worn by Men from the Northern region of the country.

Kaftans are often made of luxurious fabrics like silk, cotton or wool and are adorned with intricate embroidery , prints, or other forms of decoration. They're a symbol of comfort, elegance, and cultural heritage.

In modern times as this, kaftans have also become a popular fashion item, often worn as a statement piece and are suitable for various occasions, from casual gatherings to formal events.

Rawani on the other hand, are used to cover and adorn the head and it's most times worn by a monarch or someone who commands authority.
