I've been to that chapel twice now, and what strikes me most isn't just the photograph itself. It's how the light changes the whole feeling of the place throughout the day. Most tourists show up around midday for the classic postcard shot, but I found that visiting just before sunset completely transformed it. The red roof turns almost orange in the golden hour, and the whitewashed walls glow. Plus, the crowds thin out dramatically, so you can actually sit on the steps and hear the waves.

If you're planning a visit, don't just snap a picture and leave. Walk around to the back where there's a small path leading down to the rocky shore. You can see the chapel perched up above, with the ocean stretching out behind it. It gives a completely different perspective than the usual front-on shot everyone takes.

Also, bring a good pair of sandals if you want to explore the coastline nearby. The sand gets really hot by mid-morning, and there are some hidden tidal pools just a few minutes' walk south. Locals sometimes fish there, and it's a peaceful spot away from the tourist buses.

One practical tip. The chapel is surprisingly small in person. Don't expect a massive cathedral. That's part of its charm, really. It feels very humble and quiet, like it belongs there.
