In Earth's dryness, you sprout
No leaves, yet your flowers blossom
Bearing fruits, fresh and succulent
The first fruits of a calender tree
The above verse is the first verse in a poem I wrote in defense of the month, January. It resonates so much with me because it is my birth month and the literary device deployed therein was intentional because, January has had a lot of backslash, but, it is in itself a beautiful month and you can truely sprout to life and bear fine fruits amidst the dryness seemingly being foisted on the month.
