I'll write a poem, it'll be for you

Who knew love can be this real and sweet,
That my heart can be sifted away from the river of pain and misery?
Who knew salvation can abduct my soul into a brighter side to life,
That peace is not just an optimistic illusion?
Who knew there's a better sense of freedom beyond the stretch of cloud nine,
How did I end up missing this all my life before now?

I met my one in particular
One look, and I am hooked
Spell bound, Head over heels and smitten rotten,
there's no saving me from this.
My heart, as well as other counterparts, have been cajoled into euphoric sweetness.

Now my soul sings out loud,
I can't keep this joy within any further...

I'll write stories, they'll tell of your glory and awesome wonders;
I'll sing songs, their lyrics will only talk about you;
I'll make paintings, they'll depict your beauty and majesty;
I'll dream dreams, you'll star in them all;
I'll perform on the world stage, you'll be my inspiration
—And the whole world come to know the story of our love;
I'll go through the day thinking of you, I'll lie on my bed, ready to meet you in La la land.

My heart beats harmoniously every time I think of the one it belongs to.
My life is both the pages and words telling your story.
Everything I do will be for you,
Anything outside of you holds no meaning.

When misery and sorrow stops by
to woe me into their company again
I will let them know,
I am well spoken for
I know who I am,
I am yours.
