To transcend in time is to be young again.
I didn't really realize this till I was of age—
Another emotional release on voyage
Gosh! I need a break.

I know life could be filled with limitations,
But you decide your type of cut.
I've always had it long and brown,
But yeah, I was that girl, dying inside,
Desperate to find my ground.

Mom told me, "Do not get your hair cut,
'Cause ya gonna resemble some type of boys."
Everyone loved—
I mean, it was my style.

Heart of bravery,
Yet nothing feels weary;
You couldn't even notice
I had a cut.

You see— I'm not that girl.
I've always been that girl.
So I guess it's quite fair to say:
"I need a break—
A break to break free!"
