I have flown through SSKIA quite a few times over the past few years for work trips and family visits. One thing that really stands out to me is how manageable the crowds are compared to other regional airports. The terminal feels spacious and never overwhelming, even during peak hours. The security line moves pretty fast, and the staff are generally friendly.
If you are flying out, I would recommend getting there about two hours early if you are checking bags, and maybe an hour and a half if you have just carry on. The check in desks can have a bit of a queue, especially for Air Botswana flights leaving around midday. The duty free shop is small but decent for picking up local souvenirs and a bottle of Amarula.
One thing nobody told me the first time: the luggage delivery on arrival can take a little while, maybe 20-30 minutes sometimes. Not a big deal, but worth grabbing a drink from the cafe while you wait. Also, the parking lot is right outside the terminal and cheap by international standards.
