The executive chairman of Potiskum local government area, Hon. Salisu Muktari, is on a mission to explore development projects in federal agencies and ministries to strengthen ties and create sustainable development projects in Potiskum LGA.
The local government chairman was recently seen on a courtesy visit to the Federal Ministry of Works where he discussed key issues that will create sustainable development projects in Potiskum Local Government Area.
A few months ago, the Potiskum Local Government Chairman also made a special trip to the NEDC headquarters in Abuja to explore projects including the construction of new roads and bridges in Potiskum Local Government Area.
According to the NEDC Director Finance and Admin Dr Garba Iliya started that:
"The Chairman of Potiskum Local Government Area, Hon. Salisu Muktari, has travelled all the way to Abuja to seek the provision of roads and bridges in the local government area, where he listed the areas that are in dire need of these development projects." Dr Garba Iliya said.
Hon. Salisu Muktari also confirmed that we must go out and hunt for projects that will benefit the community because we cannot achieve development by sitting in our homes.
"It is good that we focus on hunting for development projects that will strengthen our local government and bring together many sectors.
"There is no way we can do it by sitting in our homes, and development projects will not reach us. We must go out and find them and bring them here." Said Hon. Salisu Muktari.
