The policies of Hon. Salisu Muktari, chairman of Potiskum Local Government Area, are in line with the policies of Yobe State Governor H.E. Hon. Mai Mala Buni FCIA, CON, COMN on improving the lives of the people and developing daily activities through the improvement of health, agriculture, and education.
The Yobe State Government, under the leadership of His Excellency the Executive Governor Hon. Mai Mala Buni FCIA, CON, COMN, has taken the health sector to the first and foremost level and given it priority and good care by providing more than 130 primary healthcare facilities and upgrading some primary healthcare facilities to general hospitals, equipping them with quality facilities and modern equipment, and bringing in qualified doctors to ensure that the good people of the state have a good and modern health management system.
The Potiskum Local Government Council, under the leadership of the Executive Chairman Hon. Salisu Muktari, is committed to ensuring good governance in the health sector, giving priority to the PHC Board of the local government and modernizing their affairs, providing them with support at all times, provided them with fridges, transport vehicles, and sponsoring many aspects, including providing them with projectors and modern computers to modernize the teaching methods of medical staff in every primary health care facility in Potiskum Local Government Area.
The Yobe State Government, under the leadership of the executive governor, Hon. Mai Mala Buni FCIA, CON, COMN, has given priority to education by establishing new model and mega schools, equipping them with modern equipment and good and effective teaching materials; developing old schools; transforming and modernizing the teaching system; and recruiting over 2,670 teachers across the 17 local government areas of Yobe State to strengthen education. The governor has also established new Government Day Secondary schools for girls to improve the education of girls and facilitate their studies across the state.
The Potiskum Local Government Council, under the leadership of Honorable Chairman Hon. Salisu Muktari, is committed to providing education with direct impact by monitoring primary schools, monitoring local government LEA activities, providing scholarships, improving facilities, and providing teachers under LEA with full support to encourage them and improve their performance.
The Yobe State Government, under the leadership of His Excellency the Executive Governor, Hon. Mai Mala Buni FCIA, CON, COMN, is committed to providing modern agriculture and livestock to empower farmers in Yobe State. He provides agricultural support and improves their performance to ensure his policy of creating jobs for thousands of people in Yobe State, where the Yobe State Government has done the most effective and largest agricultural empowerment in Nigeria.
The Potiskum Local Government Council, under the leadership of the Executive Chairman Hon. Salisu Muktari, plays a vital role in improving the lives of farmers by providing direct support to them, providing them with modern fertilizers and irrigation machines for summer farming, and providing them with modern agricultural equipment to modernize their operations and expand agriculture for efficient use and to ensure the intention of the Honorable Governor to create effective jobs for thousands of people of Yobe State under agriculture and livestock.
These are the goals that the Yobe State Government and Potiskum Local Government Council have jointly adopted to improve the lives of the people of Yobe State.
