...After Revival of Old Secretariat Vigilante Officers Get Headquarters.
The executive chairman of Potiskum local government area Hon. Salisu Muktari has provide divisional and area command office to the Vigilante Officers at the old secretariat of Potiskum LGA following the revival of the secretariat he undertook after it had been abandoned for years.
Providing them with the office will encourage them to volunteer to strengthen the security of the community and their properties in the local government area.
The Senior Officer in the DC Group Sani Muhammad Kani said. “We are getting a lot of support from the Chairman of Potiskum LGA Hon. Salisu Muktari to improve security in Potiskum LGA.”
He also confirmed that: "We initially requested Potikum Local Government to provide us with an office to strengthen our efforts to curb the security situation in the local government, but the local government chairman gave us shelter in the local government secretariat.
"After the August protests, we were thwarted, the office was ransacked, everything in the secretariat was stolen and our office was turned into a dumpster, after that we again submitted our complaint to the local government chairman to provide us with a solution because we need an office to continue our work.
"The local government chairman has not renovated any part of the old secretariat for us, where we now have our own Division and area command under this secretariat, therefore, we have no words to use other than the word of gratitude to the chairman of our local government, the blessed Hon. Salisu Muktari." DC Mohammed Kani Added
