The Executive Chairman of Potiskum LGA, Hon. Salisu Muktari has taken a decisive step to safeguard lives with the full rehabilitation and upgrade of three emergency ambulances, reinforcing emergency medical response across the Local Government Area.
The ambulances, now fully functional, are deployed to Bolewa PHCC, Bula-Bulin PHCC, and Badejo PHCC, ensuring faster and more reliable access to emergency healthcare services for residents of the affected communities.
This intervention followed official complaints submitted by the Potiskum LGA Primary Healthcare Department regarding the poor condition of the ambulances, demonstrating responsive and action-driven leadership, Hon. Salisu Muktari promptly approved their repair and enhancement, completing the work within a short period.
Widely recognized for prioritizing healthcare delivery, the Chairman described the rehabilitation as part of his administration’s commitment to strengthening primary healthcare facilities and improving emergency response capacity at the grassroots.
The upgraded ambulances are expected to play a critical role in reducing emergency response time, improving patient referrals, and supporting maternal, child, and accident-related emergency care, further underscoring the administration’s people-focused governance in the Potiskum Local Government Area.
