Hon. Salisu Muktari Receives Police Commissioner’s Letter of Commendation Awarded to Potiskum A Division DPO

The Executive Chairman of Potiskum Local Government Area, Hon. Salisu Muktari, has received a Letter of Commendation awarded to the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Potiskum “A” Division, CSP Ibrahim Hassan Baba, by the Yobe State Commissioner of Police, Emmanuel Ado, in recognition of his professionalism, dedication, and sustained efforts in strengthening security across the LGA.
The letter was formally presented to the Chairman at the Potiskum Local Government Secretariat, where CSP Ibrahim Hassan Baba briefed the local government leadership on recent security developments and ongoing efforts to enhance public safety within the area.
Issued by the Yobe State Police Command, the Letter of Commendation acknowledges the DPO’s commitment to effective policing, improved security operations, and the promotion of a strong police–community relationship in the Potiskum Local Government Area.
Speaking during the engagement, Hon. Salisu Muktari stressed the importance of continuous collaboration between the local government and security agencies in sustaining peace and protecting lives and property and reaffirmed his administration’s resolve to continue supporting security institutions, particularly the Nigeria Police Force, in line with their constitutional mandate.
The chairman noted that a stable security environment remains critical to social harmony, economic activities, and the overall well-being of residents of Potiskum. He assured that the local government would sustain its support for security agencies within available resources to strengthen operations and deepen cooperation with all relevant stakeholders.
The meeting underscores the growing partnership between Potiskum LGA and security agencies aimed at maintaining public order, building community trust, and creating a secure environment for sustainable socio-economic development across the local government area.
