The Executive Chairman of Potiskum Local Government Area, Hon. Salisu Muktari, has praised the dedication and sacrifices of security personnel operating in the council, pledging his administration’s total support to strengthen their capacity and effectiveness.
Hon. Salisu Muktari gave the commendation on Wednesday during an inspection of three patrol vehicles allocated to Potiskum Divisions A and B and the Local Government Council by the Yobe State Government under the leadership of Governor Mai Mala Buni, CON.
The chairman described the provision of the vehicles as a strategic step in boosting local security operations and enhancing peace across Potiskum and noted that the gesture is a reflection of Gov. Buni’s continued commitment to supporting security agencies at the grassroots level.
He assured that Potiskum LGA will complement the state government’s efforts by ensuring steady logistics support, periodic vehicle maintenance, and closer synergy with security operatives.
“Security is the bedrock of development; without peace, no community can progress. We will continue to support you with every resource within our reach so that Potiskum remains safe, peaceful, and conducive for economic growth,” Hon. Muktari stated.
Security officers present at the inspection expressed gratitude to both Governor Buni and the Council Chairman for their intervention, promising to intensify their patrol and community engagement.
Community stakeholders also applauded the initiative, describing it as a timely boost that will strengthen confidence among residents and ensure greater cooperation between security agencies and the people.
