Hon. Salisu Muktari Joins Gov. Mai Mala Buni at Commissioning of Ngalda Modern Market

The Executive Chairman of Potiskum LGA, Hon. Salisu Muktari, was among top government functionaries who witnessed the official commissioning of Ngalda Modern Market, a flagship commercial project executed by the administration of H.E Mai Mala Buni, the Executive Governor of Yobe State.
The modern market, strategically located in Ngalda, Fika Local Government Area, was built as part of Governor Buni’s commitment to expanding economic infrastructure, boosting local trade, and creating enabling environments for small and medium-scale businesses across the state.
While commissioning the project, Gov. Buni emphasized the importance of modern markets in driving grassroots economic development, improving trading conditions, and enhancing revenue generation for both the state and local governments. He noted that the facility would serve as a commercial hub for surrounding communities and strengthen regional trade activities.
The presence of Hon. Salisu Muktari at the ceremony underscored the synergy between the state government and local government councils in advancing people-oriented development initiatives and supporting policies that promote economic growth and social stability.
The commissioning ceremony drew government officials, traditional rulers, community leaders, and traders, who expressed satisfaction with the project and described it as a significant milestone in the transformation of commercial activities in the area.
