The executive chairman of Potiskum local government area, Hon. Salisu Muktari, inspects tractors at the YOSADP zonal office in Potiskum LGA, he calls for hard work to ensure that the intention of His Excellency the Governor, H.E. Hon. Mai Mala Buni, FCIA, CON, COMN, to ensure food security in Yobe State is met.
Governor Buni handed over the tractors to the YOSADP zonal offices in the local government areas of Yobe State to develop agricultural activities and combat food insecurity and to provide sufficient food for the good people of Yobe State.
The chairman vowed and assured that they must follow up with those who were given these tractors to ensure that they were given according to the policy given by the government to benefit the good people of Potiskum Local Government Area.
"We must follow up with the recipients of these tractors to ensure that the Yobe State government, under the leadership of His Excellency the executive Governor Hon. Mai Mala Buni, FCIA, CON, COMN, has fulfilled its commitment to fight hunger and food insecurity and ensure food security for the good people of Yobe State.
"Our goal is to improve the lives of our people by creating jobs and developing agricultural activities and providing sufficient food to the people." Said Hon. Salisu Muktari
He also assured that those who will use these tractors must know their importance and how to operate them in modern agricultural techniques to provide us with food and to provide the good people of Yobe State food at affordable prices and with modern quality.
"Those who will receive these tractors must be hardworking and know how to develop and modernize the agricultural sector within our community." Hon. Salisu Muktari added
