The executive chairman of Potiskum local government area, Hon. Salisu Muktari, hosted a special delegation from Yobe State Primary Health Care Board Potiskum Chapter today, Tue, 11, 02, 2025, in his office at Potiskum local government secretariat.
During the visit, they presented him with the award they received from Yobe State Primary Health Care Board for their commitment to carrying out health services across Potiskum local government area.
While speaking, the coordinator of Primary Health Care Potiskum local government chapter, Abdulrahma Musa, assured that they achieved so much success as a result of the commitment and excellent care they are receiving from the executive chairman of the Potiskum local government area, Hon. Salisu Muktari.
"I would like to take this opportunity to commend the Chairman of Potiskum Local Government Area, Hon. Salisu Muktari, for his commitment to ensuring that we carry out our duties in a peaceful and orderly manner.
"Today we have come to present to him a great achievement that we have achieved as a result of our commitment to developing primary health services in Potiskum Local Government Area, and this achievement was achieved as a result of the good intention of our chairman to ensure that an effective health management system is created in Potiskum Local Government Area.
"The greatest pride is that out of 17 Local Government Areas of Yobe State is that, the award was given to three dedicated workers from each Local Government Areas, but Potiskum alone received five awards, and it is confirmed that this was achieved due to our commitment to carrying out primary health care services in an efficient manner." On his part, the executive chairman also stressed his intention to continue to give primary health care priority and give them full support to carry out their work in a good and efficient manner.
"This award that you received is a source of pride to all of us. I am very proud of our Primary health sector because I am very satisfied with your commitment to providing a good primary health care system to the good people of our local government; this is something I hear with my own ears at various meeting places." Said Hon. Salisu Muktari
He also called on health workers to be patient because their health work requires patience as they deal with a variety of people from different parts of the local government.
"I always call on you and ask you to be patient because your work requires a lot of patience as you deal with different people from different parts of this local governmet, and some people are normally arguing over small things, and normally a patient has little patience at all times. Therefore, your work requires patience and courage because we are all proud of our health, and may Allah give you the opportunity and knowledge to manage the sector.
"For my part, I am not surprised with the award you received because you deserve more than that, and your courage and enthusiasm are a source of pride for us all. I commend you and I commend your coordinator for his courage and dedication in carrying out his work." Hon. Salisu Muktari added
