The executive chairman of Potiskum local government area, Hon. Salisu Muktari, hosted Potiskum LGA Agric Department representatives who presented him with the award and certificate they won at the Yobe 2025 Agric Show.
The Potiskum local government area won 2nd position at the recently concluded Yobe State 2025 Agricultural Show and Exhibition.
The executive chairman received them today, 14th May, 2025, at his office at the Potiskum LGA Secretariat, where he commended them for their hard work and dedication in bringing about many achievements for the local government area.
The chairman also stressed that his government, together with the government of Hon. Mai Mala Buni FCIA, CON, COMN, is ready to provide any necessary contribution to help develop agriculture and livestock in the local government.
"We are ready to do everything possible to ensure the success of the Agricultural Department in this local government area, as the agricultural sector is a sector that plays a vital role in creating jobs for the youth and developing the economy and food security among our people.
"The Governor is ready to expand agriculture and livestock activities in his efforts to ensure food security and provide employment to thousands of people in Yobe State." Said Hon. Salisu Muktari
The Chairman also stressed that the door is open to receive any complaints and requests for contributions to strengthen the Agricultural Department in the local government area.
"The door is always open to discuss and encourage you, as we are ready to improve the lives of our people and provide food security and employment to our people." Hon. Salisu Muktari Added
