The executive chairman of Potiskum Local Government Area, Hon. Salisu Muktari, hosts Funakaye, Nafada, and Fika Local Government Area's Committee on Electricity Supply along the LGAs.
The committee's visit is in line with the steps to be taken to strengthen and provide for the rehabilitation of the 33 KVA electricity line after a long period of disruption.
The committee sought the approval of the Potiskum Local Government Area to cooperate in forwarding the complaint to the appropriate authority as they strive to restore the status of electricity in the areas.
They also confirmed that their aim is to restore the damaged cross and insulators on the power line, which has caused a serious setback to the power supply system, which is among the affected areas that include the Bulakos Area of Potiskum.
The Deputy Chairman of Potiskum Local Government Area, Hon. Adamu Hamza Ngojin, while speaking on behalf of the chairman, said:
"This is a matter of concern, and it comes at a time when we need it most to address and transform the power sector.
"Potiskum Local Government Area will sit down and consider the scope of its contribution and the possibility of joining this committee for the benefit of our community." He said
