The executive chairman of Potiskum local government area, Hon. Salisu Muktari, hosts a delegation of JIBWIS Kaduna Headquarters Scholars, Potiskum LGA Tafseer Committee, at the local government secretariat.
The delegation was led by the chairman of Potiskum LGA Tafseer Committee, Imam Yusuf Koram, who was received by the deputy chairman of Potiskum LGA, Hon. Adamu Hamza Ngojin, on behalf of the local government chairman.
While introducing the scholars and other stakeholders, the chairman of Potiskum Tafseer Committee called on the heads of departments to use the opportunity that Allah has given them to improve their work.
Among the guests there's a senior religious scholar sent by the National Headquarters of JIBWIS to Potiskum to deliver the Tafseer of the month of Ramadan, namely Dr Abdulkadeer Ibrahim Tilden Fulani, who is currently delivering the Tafseer of the month of Ramadan at Sheikh Ja'afar Mahmud Adam Mosque, Hayin Gada Kano Road, Potiskum LGA.
The senior religious scholar delivered speeches and drew attention to help orphans and the needy. "It is good for us to strive for reward, especially in this blessed month of Ramadan, to help orphans and the needy to improve our future and hereafter." Dr Abdulkadeer said
He also called on civil servants to improve their work and work according to the trust given to them by the government to fulfil the responsibilities that are incumbent upon them.
"It is good for us civil servants to improve our work and make it a means of seeking our paradise because we have been entrusted with a trust, which is why I am calling on you, even though I am a civil servant in a field where I have expertise. It is good for us to do good in proportion because it is a trust that God has entrusted to us." Dr Abdulkadeer Added
On his part, the local government chairman, who was represented by his deputy, Hon. Adamu Hamza Ngojin, commended the delegation for their visit and commended them for the awareness they brought to the local government staff of their responsibilities.
"We were pleased and appreciated this special visit to remind us of who you brought to this local government, and we also appreciated you with gratitude for your awareness and reminder to us. Certainly no community can succeed without the contribution of scholars, especially religious scholars, because your awareness is what balances the issues of leadership." Said Hon. Hamza Ngojin
