In what he described as “a new dawn for education and representation in Yobe South,” Hon. Salisu Muktari has commended Senator Ibrahim Mohammed Bomai for sponsoring the first batch of 51 students out of 100 to pursue higher studies abroad.

The historic scholarship flag-off marks a milestone in Senator Bomai’s ongoing commitment to education, empowerment, and community development—one that Hon. Salisu Muktari says will redefine the future of Yobe South’s youth.

“Senator Bomai’s initiative is not just an act of generosity; it is an act of vision,” Hon. Salisu Muktari said. “By investing in the dreams of these young people, he is building the kind of future where education becomes the greatest equalizer and source of progress for our people.”

He added that the gesture reflects the senator’s deep understanding of leadership as service—one that touches lives, transforms communities, and inspires hope where it’s needed most.

For many of the beneficiaries and their families, the scholarship means more than an academic opportunity; it symbolizes faith restored, dreams rekindled, and futures secured. The students, drawn from various parts of Yobe South, will study across leading international institutions—with full coverage of tuition, accommodation, and welfare support.

Hon. Salisu Muktari also described Senator Bomai’s leadership as a reflection of purposeful representation—one grounded in empathy, foresight, and a genuine desire to uplift the next generation.

“This is how representation should look—visionary, compassionate, and results-driven,” he emphasized. “Yobe South is witnessing a rebirth under leaders who believe that progress begins with education.”

The send-off event, attended by dignitaries, parents, and well-wishers, echoed with emotion and gratitude, as many hailed Senator Bomai’s gesture as a legacy that will continue to shape Yobe’s story for years to come.
