The Executive Chairman of Potiskum Local Government Area, Hon. Salisu Muktari, has praised the recent defections of key lawmakers into the All Progressives Congress (APC), describing the development as a clear endorsement of Governor Mai Mala Buni’s political leadership and national party experience.

Hon. Salisu Muktari congratulates Hon. Mallam Hassan Elbinjaks, member representing Bade/Jakusko Federal Constituency, alongside Hon. Engr. Muhammad Buba Jajere (Fika/Fune) and Hon. Sadiq Yahaya (Attajiri) of Bade Central Constituency, for joining the APC, noting that their decisions reflect growing confidence in the party’s vision and direction.

He said the defections have firmly established Yobe State as a complete APC stronghold, with zero opposition presence in both the State House of Assembly and the National Assembly from the state.

According to Hon. Salisu Muktari, the unprecedented political alignment is a direct result of Gov. Buni’s vast experience in national party management, which has enabled him to strengthen party unity, build consensus, and attract credible political actors into the APC.

“This is a strong validation of the leadership of His Excellency, Governor Mai Mala Buni. His experience at the national level has continued to reposition the APC as the dominant and unifying platform in Yobe State,” he stated.

The chairman further commended the governor’s inclusive and strategic approach to politics, noting that it has fostered stability, strengthened cohesion, and encouraged broad-based participation within the party.

Hon. Salisu Muktari described the development as a major political milestone, adding that the APC’s total legislative dominance provides a solid platform for sustained unity, effective governance, and continuous development across Yobe State.

He also expressed confidence that the party will maintain its strength and momentum under Gov. Buni’s leadership as the state moves toward the 2027 political transition.
