The executive chairman of Potiskum local government area, Hon. Salisu Muktari, congratulates the good people of Potiskum local government area on Democracy Day and calls Governor Buni a good leader in politics and democracy.
The executive chairman made the statement today, Thursday, June 12, 2025, while delivering a speech on Democracy Day, expressing happiness and satisfaction with the democratic style of government and encouraging the people on the changes that are taking place under the democratic and civilian government.
"I am using this opportunity to pay tribute to all the good people of Potiskum Local Government Area, our chiefs, scholars, and leaders of our community in general.
"As it is, today, June 12, 2025, is a historic day, as it is a day that was designated as Democracy Day, which gave the community the opportunity to enter and exercise leadership.
"Democracy has certainly played a vital role in improving the lives of the community from the economic, educational, health, and other aspects of life. Democracy has also encouraged us to fulfill our dream of becoming a united nation and a community with one goal.
"Our Yobe State government, under the leadership of the Honorable Governor Hon. Mai Mala Buni FCIA, CON, COMN, is committed to bringing about ways and plans that will enable our community to enjoy the fruits of democracy so that the government's plans are in line with the problems of our community and provide them with effective and sustainable solutions.
"Governor Buni FCIA, CON, COMN, is a good leader and pillar in the field of politics and democracy because his administration has provided full access and opportunities for the youth to learn leadership and know the government.
"Governor Buni has also strengthened democracy by developing education, the economy, agriculture, livestock, the revitalization of industries and attracting the youth and teaching them politics and governance to improve the lives of the good people of the state in the future." He said
The chairman also commended the good people of Potiskum Local Government Area, Yobe State, and Nigeria for their dedication to the development of various sectors.
"I commend you, the good people of Potiskum Local Government Area, Yobe State, and Nigeria, for your commitment to ensuring the sustainable development and peace of our community." Hon. Salisu Muktari added
