The executive chairman of Potiskum local government area, Hon. Salisu Muktari, commends Senator Ibrahim Mohammed Bomai, representing the Yobe South Senatorial District, for supporting over 40,000 households with Ramadan palliatives.
The chairman expressed happiness and well-being over the initiative of the senator and called the initiative a boon to provide a peaceful way to worship for the Muslim community in the area following the shortage of food and basic necessities and the economic downturn the community is facing.
"I commend Senator Ibrahim Mohammed Bomai for his heroic efforts in providing food assistance to 40,000 households for the holy month of Ramadan.
"This initiative is a source of pride for the entire Muslim community, and it shows the senator's dedication and commitment to supporting his people, especially during this time of food shortage and economic crisis that is affecting almost everyone in Nigeria and the world at large.
"We must commend and pray for him and wish him well for this noble work he has done for our community because this work is like saving lives, as the act of feeding is highly rewarding in religion." Said Hon. Salisu Muktari
The senator has pledged to support the people of his Zone-B constituency, which includes 4 local government areas, namely Nangere, Potiskum, Fika, and Fune, with the assistance including business capital and food items, totalling over 1.050 billion Naira.
The good people of the area have expressed their happiness over the initiative and have affirmed their support for the senator's political achievements.
