The executive chairman of Potiskum local government area Hon. Salisu Muktari commends Hon. Fatsuma talba based on her efforts to build a new and largest emergency unit at specialist hospital Potiskum.
The executive chairman appreciated her efforts to improve the health sector and he also confirmed that the establishment of this emergency unit will help greatly in providing a good management system for patients and reducing the overcrowding of patients in the hospital emergency unit.
"We are very grateful for this initiative, also the creation of this new emergency unit is a source of pride to the entire Potiskum communities and Zone-B as a whole.
"The specialist hospital of Potiskum is a hospital that directly looks after the welfare of the entire Zone-B communities, where patients visit it from our four local government areas namely Nangere, Potiskum, Fika and Fune.
"Also, our communities are suffering from the shortage of emergency units where patients are constrained due to the congestion that hinders the operation of the hospital emergency unit due to the small size of the emergency unit in the hospital.
"That's why we have to praise Hon. Fatsuma Talba for this great contribution she gave us to improve our health care system." Hon. Salisu Muktari said.
