The executive chairman of Potiskum local government area Hon. Salisu Muktari praise and commend Hon. Fatsuma talba member representing the good people of Nangere/Potiskum federal constituency for her efforts to support/empower 500 graduates across the constituency.

Today been 23rd, December, 2024 the honourable member representing Potiskum Nangere Hon. Fatsuma Talba in partnership with SMEDAN completed the training of 500 young graduates on business techniques, agriculture and breeding with start-up capital of 50,000 each, under the management of small and medium businesses of Nigeria (SMEDAN).

During his speech, the executive chairman of Potiskum made a call and emphasized that it is good for the youth to use this opportunity to build their lives in order to provide a sustainable future to the entire community.

"I would like to use this opportunity to appreciate the effort of our member of the federal parliament, Hon. Fatsuma Talba, for her efforts in providing a good training in different areas of businesses to our youth with start-up investment funds support to each of the beneficiaries.

"This is also a great success not only to the beneficiaries but to the entire communities of Nangere/Potiskum, it will also greatly help to develop the economy and improve the lives of the youth in the region as a whole.

"I am also calling you dear young men and women who have the opportunity to benefit from this training and support to use the knowledge they have acquired and show the skills they have learned in reality by using the money they have earned in the right way."

He then went on to show the effectiveness of the system in removing the local community from security threats and social pollution.

"Providing jobs to the youth will drive away some of the fear of security among our people, because there is no threat that leaves the youth unemployed."

The meeting took place in the main hall of the Federal College of Education Technical Potiskum (FCET)
