Hon. Salisu Muktari today attended the Yobe State APC Critical Stakeholders Meeting held at the Banquet Hall of the Government House in Damaturu, where far-reaching political decisions were taken to shape the party’s direction ahead of the 2027 elections.

The high-level gathering, convened under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), brought together key leaders and stakeholders who reaffirmed their collective resolve to strengthen party unity and electoral dominance in the state.

One of the major highlights of the meeting was the bold declaration to deliver 3.5 million votes to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election. Stakeholders emphasized that this is not merely a promise but a benchmark that reflects the party’s confidence, structure, and grassroots strength in Yobe State.

In a decisive move to consolidate internal harmony, the meeting also resolved to adopt a consensus approach in selecting candidates for the governorship, National Assembly, and State Assembly elections; the decision was described as a clear demonstration of political maturity and a commitment to unity, peace, and collective success.

Under this arrangement, all aspirants are expected to support whoever emerges through the consensus process, ensuring total alignment and eliminating internal disputes that could weaken the party’s chances.

The stakeholders further passed a resounding vote of confidence on the administration of Governor Mai Mala Buni, commending his leadership for fostering unity and delivering meaningful democratic dividends across the state.

Hon. Salisu Muktari’s presence at the meeting underscores his active role in the party’s ongoing consultations and his alignment with the vision of a united, forward-looking APC in Yobe State.

The outcomes of the meeting reaffirm the party’s readiness to approach the 2027 elections with a clear strategy built on unity, consensus, and strong grassroots mobilization.
