The executive chairman of Potiskum local government area Hon. Salisu Muktari approved an open-door policy for the PHC Board in the Potiskum local government area of Yobe state.
The executive chairman confirmed this during the health development review meeting that took place on November 5 last year, where the chairman praised the efforts and hard work of those who cooperated and supported health care throughout the Potiskum local government area.
During the meeting, the chairman received all the information and requirements of the health centre of the local government for review and approval, where he agreed to bring new policies in order to develop and improve the healthcare system of the good people of Potiskum local government area.
Also the chairman confirmed that:
"Health is the mother of the body because it is through her that the community gets the favour of entering the market, commuting, and dealing with each other.
"We must create any system or policy that will help bring sustainable solutions to the people of our local government in terms of health, security, and improving transportation.
"I am calling on our hospital staff to work hard to create systems that will greatly help to develop health care and bring development to our community." Hon. Salisu Muktari assured
The chairman also called on the board to create a special awareness program for the good people of the local government in the field of self-care and health care.
He then confirmed that he is ready to contribute to the development of health care throughout the local government.
