The Chairman of Potiskum LGA, Hon. Salisu Muktari, has commended Senator Ibrahim Mohammed Bomai and the Managing Director of the Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority, Kashim Musa Tumsa (KMT), alongside other well-meaning individuals for their generous Ramadan support to vulnerable and less privileged members of the community in Potiskum.
Hon. Salisu Muktari praised the humanitarian gesture, describing the Ramadan intervention as timely and impactful, particularly for families facing economic hardship during the holy month.
According to the council chairman, the initiative reflects a strong commitment to compassion, charity, and community service—values that are deeply rooted in the spirit of Ramadan. He noted that providing support to the needy during this sacred period demonstrates genuine concern for the wellbeing of the people.
He specifically acknowledged the contributions of Senator Bomai, who represents Yobe South Senatorial District, highlighting the senator’s consistent efforts to uplift the welfare of his constituents through empowerment programs and humanitarian interventions.
Hon. Salisu Muktari also applauded KMT for his dedication to supporting community-driven initiatives and extending assistance to the vulnerable, especially during important periods such as Ramadan.
“Their commitment to assisting the vulnerable and less privileged during this holy month is highly commendable. It reflects true leadership, compassion, and a deep sense of responsibility to the people,” the chairman said.
He further encouraged other leaders, philanthropists, and stakeholders across Yobe State to emulate such acts of generosity, noting that collective efforts would strengthen unity and ensure that more families are able to observe Ramadan with dignity and relief.
Residents and beneficiaries who spoke on the development expressed gratitude for the Ramadan support, noting that the assistance would go a long way in easing the burden on many households during the fasting period.
The growing culture of humanitarian support during Ramadan continues to play an important role in promoting social solidarity and improving the well-being of communities across Potiskum and beyond.
