Hon. Salisu Muktari Applauds Gov. Buni’s Transformational Leadership, Says Yobe Now Stands as a Beacon of Data-Driven Progress

Marking World Statistics Day 2025, themed “Driving Change with Quality Statistics and Data for Everyone,” the Executive Chairman of Potiskum LGA, Hon. Salisu Muktari, FCIA, CON, COMN, has lauded His Excellency, Governor Mai Mala Buni, FCIA, CON, COMN, for redefining governance through innovation, accountability, and data-driven planning.
Hon. Salisu Muktari described Gov. Buni’s leadership as a “turning point in modern public administration,” noting that the governor’s commitment to evidence-based governance has strengthened policy efficiency, improved service delivery, and rebuilt public trust across Yobe State.
“Governor Buni has shown that when leadership is guided by data and integrity, progress becomes inevitable. His administration has turned Yobe into a beacon of renewal and resilience,” Hon. Salisu Muktari stated.
He also highlighted that the government’s Blueprint for Modern Governance has leveraged data to catalyze economic growth, attract investors, and enhance decision-making across key sectors—including education, healthcare, infrastructure, and commerce.
Visible across all 17 local government areas, Yobe’s transformation includes monumental projects such as the Damaturu Flyover, Potiskum Truck Transit Park, and modern markets in Nguru, Machina, and four other LGAs, including Gashua of Bade, all of which have revitalized trade, improved connectivity, and expanded economic opportunities.
Hon. Salisu Muktari also noted that the governor’s focus on human capital—through Mega Schools, Girls’ Science and Technical Colleges, and the Maternal and Child Complex in Damaturu—is shaping a future defined by opportunity and inclusion.
“Governor Buni’s transformation agenda is more than infrastructure; it’s about rebuilding the confidence of the people. His policies are rooted in facts, driven by data, and anchored on transparency,” he added.
He also concluded that as the world celebrates the power of data, Yobe State stands as a shining model of how evidence-based governance can drive inclusive growth and sustainable peace, reflecting Governor Buni’s unwavering vision to make Yobe one of Nigeria’s most progressive states.
