The executive chairman of Potiskum local government area, Hon. Salisu Muktari, has had effective policies that promote agriculture and health and reform public assets to improve the lives of the good people of the Potiskum local government and create social equity.
His commitment to improving health has produced significant results, such as the achievements that the local government has made in providing quality primary health care (PHC) across the 17 local government areas of Yobe State.
His dedication and passion for improving agricultural practices and bringing about effective changes in the agricultural sector in the local government played a significant role in enabling Yobe State to achieve many achievements, including winning awards at the recent 46th Kaduna International Trade Fair.
The chairman has been very passionate about revitalising government assets, improving old abandoned facilities, and renovating other government departments in the Potiskum Local Government Area, under which he renovated the government lodge, revived the defunct veterinary hospital, revived the old secretariat, renovated and upgraded the LEA services, converted several boreholes to solar power, revived Mopol Barracks, constructed new roads, and rehabilitated the old secretariat of the local government to improve the functioning of other departments and agencies.
