The executive governor of Yobe State, Hon. (Dr.) Mai Mala Buni FCIA, CON, COMN, and the executive chairman of Potiskum Local Government Area, Hon. Salisu Muktari, are friends who are committed to bringing about change and community development.

Hon. Salisu Muktari and Gov. Mai Mala Buni have been partners in struggle, setting a history of bringing about progress since they were councillors until now, when Hon. Mai Mala Buni is leading Yobe State as an elected governor while Hon. Salisu Muktari is leading the largest and most populous local government area of Yobe State, Potiskum.

Being friends who have been politically active for a long time, they have worked hand in hand to bring about policies and reforms that have modernized and improved many sectors in the Potiskum Local Government Area and Yobe State as a whole.

Under their administration, Potiskum Local Government has regained its prestige in every aspect by improving the performance of Potiskum Local Government departments and revitalizing business and agriculture.

Also, under their administration, Potiskum Local Government has improved the primary health system, reviving dead hospitals and upgrading the Potiskum General Hospital to a specialist hospital to strengthen health services and make it easier for the people of the local government area.

The agricultural sector has received many benefits, with the revival of the Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources of the local government and its activities being enhanced by providing direct support to farmers in the state under the Agricultural Support Program of Governor Buni titled___ "Gov. Buni Mega Agricultural Empowerment Program."

Their friendship, which is full of trust, is an example for our politicians because it is a friendship that has created a sustainable development for the community.
