Health transformation: Yobe State Government completes construction of a large and modern community medicine department

The Yobe State Government, under the leadership of His Excellency the Executive Governor Hon. Mai Mala Buni, FCIA, CON, COMN, has completed the construction of large and modern Department of Community Medicine at the Yobe State College of medical Sciences Yobe State University.

The government has upgraded the department with adequate facilities and equipped it with a modern structure that will make the state competitive at the global level in the education and health sectors.

The establishment of this department will go a long way in improving the health sector, bringing about changes that will help fight diseases and provide research methods on modern health problems.

The governor has given the health sector priority to ensure the stability of the community and the development of Yobe State to continue to be a health hub in North-East Nigeria.

The department will help in providing training, supervision, and procurement of medicines, which will have a significant impact on the health and well-being of the good people of Yobe State as a whole.

Governor Buni continues to provide Yobe State with quality infrastructure that can contribute to the transformation and modernization of Yobe State as a whole.
