He wrote the vows on his phone because his hands were shaking too much to hold paper.

And then his hands were shaking too much to hold the phone.

So he put it away and said them from memory. Except they were not from memory. They were from somewhere deeper than memory. From the place where you keep the things you have been meaning to say for years but never found a room big enough to say them in.

She stood there. Still. Not the stillness of someone posing. The stillness of someone being filled.

He said: I do not promise you perfect days. I promise you that on the imperfect ones, I will still be standing here. Looking at you like this. Terrified and certain at the same time.

The photographer in me wanted the shot. The human in me forgot the camera existed.

I got the shot anyway. Muscle memory.

Man, I’m not gonna lie—this one got me. That line about the room big enough to finally say those things... whew. I shot a wedding last year where the groom’s voice cracked so bad during his vows, the whole crowd just held their breath. You can’t script that kind of realness. You captured something special here.
