... Response to those who consider the flyover and underpass bridge that Governor Buni will build as a waste of Yobe State's public funds.
The Yobe State Government, under the leadership of His Excellency Governor H.E. Hon. Mai Mala Buni, has committed to transforming and modernising Damaturu town as part of the governor's drive to develop and improve the economy of Yobe State.
Improved and well-maintained roads will beautify the city, create jobs, attract investors, and provide ways to reduce traffic congestion and improve the public's mobility, as a result of which people will have peace of mind in conducting business and all forms of transportation to ensure a healthy economy and improve the income of the people.
The construction of the flyover and underpass bridge that Governor Buni is working on will boost many sectors following the establishment of five modern markets, international standard sesame processing plants, and the completion of the Cargo Int'l airport in Damaturu through these routes.
1. Improved traffic flow and reduced congestion, which will facilitate transportation and boost trade and commerce by ensuring the speedy delivery of goods and services.
2. Increased trade as a result of reduced traffic congestion will attract businessmen to commercial areas, which will help to benefit traders and service providers.
3. Attracting investors Investors prefer places with good communication and infrastructure, which can lead them to set up factories and corporate offices in order to enjoy the beautiful landscape of the place.
4. Reduce the cost of transportation by providing adequate roads and a good travel system. It reduces fuel consumption and vehicle maintenance for businesses and individuals, which in turn leads to lower operating costs for equipment and manufacturing companies.
