The Yobe State Government, under the leadership of H.E. Hon. Mai Mala Buni, FCIA, CON, COMN, has played a significant role in promoting peace and stability in the state, which has made Yobe State one of the most peaceful states in Nigeria.
Governor Buni has played a significant role in promoting peace, improving the environment, and improving the daily lives of the good people of Yobe State, giving priority to cultural, religious, and other aspects of society to ensure the existence of peace.
The fact that Yobe and Borno states have been at the forefront of security deterioration in recent years and this has led to the people of the states beginning to lose hope for the return of lasting peace to the region, which some see as a haven for terrorists at that time.
Ensuring security has become the most effective tool used by the governors of the region during 2019 campaigns to attract the public's attention, as it is the most effective and challenging for the residents of the two states.
Yobe State has begun to achieve its dream of ensuring security since the 2019 elections that confirmed Hon. Mai Mala Buni, FCIA, CON, COMN, as the elected and legitimate governor of the state, which has since seen a decline in the incidence of terrorism following Governor Buni's commitment to collaboration between his government and all security agencies to ensure the existence of peace in the state and to the good people of the state as a whole.
In a report published by the Daily Trust newspaper last week, the governor confirmed that Yobe State has succeeded following the good and strong collaboration between the state government and the security agencies.
"As Yobe State Governor, we prioritized the security of our people and their properties following our commitment to ensuring good relations and cooperation to strengthen security agencies to provide effective security for the good people of the state as a whole." Governor Buni said.
The governor also confirmed that the security of the lives and properties of his people is the top priority of his administration and is what he has given utmost priority and influence in the management of his administration.
"The security of our people's lives and property was paramount to me, so we must continue to give priority to security matters to improve business relations and improve the economy of Yobe State." Gov. Buni added.
