The executive governor of Yobe state H.E Hon. Mai Mala Buni CON, COMN, has committed to transforming the state capital from the 1991 city to a new city full of charm and amenities by 2025.
As Governor Buni announced the redevelopment of Damaturu in late 2024 to create a vibrant and attractive city, which includes the construction of a flyover and underpass that will help to decongest the city and provide a better transport system.
Following the establishment of influential institutions that can attract the attention of the people from different parts of the world, from the creation of modern markets that can compete with global trade, influential health centers in Africa, ensuring security and completing the construction of a large cargo international airport, the state needs to change its structure to provide the people and attract investors with stability.
Governor Buni is committed to ensuring that his government's commitment to providing public services and urban development centres in his administration improves the lives of the people and provides Yobe State with a comprehensive system that can attract the attention of governments and investors around the world.
Yobe State can compete in business and industry with any country in the world now based on the existence of peace and stability; the state needs to be modernised and improved to attract the attention of the needy from all over the world.
Abundant roads, sufficient drinking water, markets, and hospitals are among the things that have benefitted since the beginning of the reign of Hon. Mai Mala Buni in Yobe State.
