... A response to those who point out the failure or inadequacy of Governor Buni in improving education.

The executive governor of Yobe State, H.E. Hon. Mai Mala Buni CON, COMN, has hired over 3,000 teachers, built new classrooms, and built many new schools across Yobe State since assuming office in 2019.

Following the emergency on education that he declared for the education sector since the beginning of his administration, his government has achieved significant achievements from tertiary education to secondary and primary education. He has restructured and separated the education sector it into two different ministries, where he has appointed two new commissioners and education officers to the Ministry of Basic Education and the Ministry of Higher Education and has given them priority in implementing each of the annual budgets he has prepared.

The governor has given full support to education in all aspects, trained secondary school teachers in modern education, and provided them with various workshops to provide them with a good modern teaching method; recruited over 3,000 new education staff (teachers) who will provide a good teaching method; restored the payment of TSS to secondary school teachers in the state; and ensured the increase in the salaries of teachers across the state so that they can fully teach in peace and tranquillity.

The governor has built schools that are in line with the international teaching method also in a modern system and equipped them with modern equipment, teaching materials, and a modern library.

The governor has continued to maintain the cost of education in the state from primary level to tertiary institutions; there is no other state in the northern part of Nigeria like Yobe in terms of the ease of education.

"No father can afford to pay for his son's education in Yobe State Government's schools from primary to secondary school, and our universities are cheaper than any other state in Nigeria since our university, which has over 6,000 students from Yobe State, pays a registration fee of less than 40,000, which in some states polytechnics are even more expensive than this amount." Governor Buni said

The governor is also continuing to revamp Yobe State universities, changing their structures and modernising them.
