The Executive Governor of Yobe State, H.E. Hon. Mai Mala Buni CON, COMN, has completed the construction of a sesame brittle processing company in Potiskum LGA.
Creating new companies and revitalising old company in the state It is at the forefront of the Yobe state government under the leadership of H.E. Hon. Mai Mala Buni CON, COMN to revitalise the economy, create good governance, and boost employment among the youth of the state.
Since assuming office as governor of the state in 2019, Governor Buni has been reviving the state's dead companies; he has successfully revived several companies, including the state-owned leather company in Damaturu and the state-owned flour mill in Potiskum Local Government Area, namely "Yobe Flour and Mills Company."
Then, at the beginning of his first term, he laid the foundation stone for the construction of new sesame processing companies in two local governments, namely Nguru and Machina, and laid the foundation stone for two more in Damaturu and Potiskum Local Government Areas.
All four companies have now been completed and equipped with modern sesame crushing and processing machines.
The establishment of these companies will greatly help in economic development and revitalisation of employment opportunities for the good people of the state.
