Yobe State Governor H.E. Hon. Mai Mala Buni, FCIA, CON, COMN, has approved the new minimum wage for local government employees, regular and domestic staff in Yobe State.
A statement from the Yobe State Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy confirmed that the state government has approved the payment of the new minimum wage to the local government employees in Yobe State.
The move is expected to improve the living conditions of the local government workers in the state, including school teachers, health workers, other local government workers, and other institutions.
The salary increase is a timely move, as it is in line with the trend of improving the spending and welfare of local government workers.
Yobe State has become one of the state in Nigeria to adopt the new minimum wage for local government workers, following the commitment of the esteemed governor to ensure the welfare of local government workers and the welfare of the good people of Yobe State.
