Gov. Buni Unveils World-Class E-Taxi and E-Bus Platform to Power Digital Governance in Yobe State

Governor Mai Mala Buni has unveiled a world-class E-Taxi and E-Bus Hailing Platform, marking another decisive milestone in his administration’s drive to entrench digital governance and modern service delivery.
The globally benchmarked platform, developed to rival advanced smart-city systems such as Dubai’s E-Fleet Command Management System, is being implemented by the Yobe State Information Technology Development Agency (YITDA) under the leadership of Amb. Dr. Adam K. Mohammed, CCSP, CCCP, in line with the governor’s directive to digitalize all sectors of governance.
Following a detailed presentation of the solution, Gov. Buni commended the innovation and reiterated his administration’s firm commitment to leveraging technology as a catalyst for efficiency, transparency, and inclusive economic growth.
The e-hailing platform is designed to transform transportation management by enhancing safety, improving operational efficiency, and strengthening accountability, while opening new economic opportunities for operators, drivers, and digital entrepreneurs.
Also, it further reflects Governor Buni’s vision of building a modern, innovation-driven state aligned with global best practices.
Beyond smart mobility, the governor’s digital transformation agenda coordinated through YITDA is driving the deployment of technology-enabled solutions across healthcare, agriculture, education, revenue administration, security, and other critical sectors of governance.
