



Gov. Buni Sustains 25 km Gashua–Dumburi–Masaba Road Project to Unlock Growth in Northern Yobe

Yobe State Governor, His Excellency Hon. (Dr.) Mai Mala Buni, CON, has continued the construction of the 25-kilometer road linking Gashua to the communities of Dumburi and Masaba, reinforcing his administration’s commitment to infrastructure development and inclusive growth in Northern Yobe.
The strategic road project, being executed under the supervision of the Ministry of Works, Damaturu, is designed to improve inter-community connectivity, ease transportation, and open up rural areas for socio-economic activities.
The road is expected to play a vital role in supporting agriculture, trade, and the movement of people across the zone.
On completion, the Gashua–Dumburi–Masaba road will significantly reduce travel time and transportation costs, enhance access to markets and public services, and create new economic opportunities for farmers, traders, and small businesses in the benefiting communities.
The sustained progress on the project underscores Gov. Buni’s development vision, which prioritizes balanced development, rural inclusion, and the provision of critical infrastructure across all parts of Yobe State.
Residents of the area have welcomed the project, describing it as a long-awaited intervention that will positively transform livelihoods and local economies.
The state government has reiterated its determination to ensure the successful completion of the road in line with required standards as part of its broader efforts to deliver people-centered development and lasting impact across Yobe State.
