The executive governor of Yobe State, Hon. Mai Mala Buni FCIA, CON, COMN, hosted a delegation of religious scholars and national Quran champions led by the executive chairman of Potiskum local government area, Hon. Salisu Muktari.
Today, Thursday, 6th February, 2025, the executive chairman of Potiskum Local Government Area, Hon. Salisu Muktari, led a delegation of religious scholars and the 2024 national Quran competition champion to the Yobe State Government House to show the esteemed governor of Yobe State, H.E. Hon. Mai Mala Buni CON, COMN, the car he received, Honda Accord speechless V6.
Hon. Salisu Muktari assured the governor that "these two individuals are the champions of the national Quran recitation competition where one named Muhammad Muhammad Sani came first with the prize of the motor we showed you outside and the other one came third all in the previous Quran recitation competition of 2025." He said During the visit
The governor commended the hard work of the youth and assured them of encouragement to continue producing excellent Quran reciters in the future, the governor also commended their teachers for their commitment to ensuring the success of the winners.
"I am very happy to attend you here today. It is a matter of pride that our state's citizen from Potiskum Local Government Area has emerged as the winner of the national Quran recitation competition. This shows the strength of the state in religious education and the dedication of our teachers in providing quality education.
"Based on your dedication in this competition, my government has gifted you a seat in Mecca and a house to the first position winner." Governor Buni said
The first and third position winners in the national Quran recitation competition are all from Potiskum Local Government Area and were led by the local government chairman to the state government house to encourage them and improve their lives.
