The executive governor of Yobe State, H.E. Hon. Mai Mala Buni CON, COMN, flagged off the distribution of Ramadan baskets targeting 30,000 households and vulnerable people, 1,500 junior staff and teachers, and over 500 medical doctors.

The governor flagged off this support to help the Muslim community across the state; the aid will help facilitate worship for the Muslim community across the state.

In his bid to provide relief in all circumstances and times following the hardships and economic pressures that the Nigerian people are going through, he has targeted the following areas of impact:

30,000 households across 17 LGAs.
1500 junior staff (teachers) from TSB, SUBEB, and STEB.
500 medical doctors providing essential services across remote areas and lots more.

Governor Buni has excelled in developing humanitarian activities and helping the poor and needy across Yobe State.

"We have planned to provide food assistance to the needy of our people to ease them during the fasting period we are in. The assistance will go around the 17 local government areas that we have across Yobe State, where each area will reach out to those who are eligible to benefit from the assistance of thousands of bags of rice and other essential commodities that we have allocated," Governor Buni said.

The support will greatly help a lot in making it easier for the Muslim community who are fasting in the month of Ramadan, and it will also provide peace for the community across the 17 local government areas to worship in peace and tranquillity.
