The executive governor of Yobe State, H.E. Hon. Mai Mala Buni FCIA, CON, COMN, commends Hon. Salisu Muktari, the executive chairman of Potiskum LGA and local government agricultural department, for their hard work in showcasing the potential of Yobe State in the agricultural and trade sector.
The governor commended them when the chairman of Potiskum LGA, Hon. Salisu Muktari, led a delegation of the local government and representatives of the local government agricultural department to the Yobe State Government House to present the International Award to the esteemed governor of Yobe state at the recently concluded 46th, Kaduna International Trade Fair.
After receiving the award, the governor commended the efforts of the local government and commended the leadership of the local government for their commitment to ensuring that his government is committed to agriculture, livestock, and trade.
"I commend the leaders of Potiskum Local Government Area and other workers and representatives of the agricultural department of this local government area. As you were among the delegates who represented us at the trade and mineral resources exhibition held in Kaduna State, you have made us proud with the many achievements you have made.
"The award you have received is an award full of history and good intentions that can make us proud now and in the future, considering that you have gone a long way in showing the impact of agriculture and trade across Yobe State, this has led to your success over more than 774 local governments across Nigeria and other stakeholders from outside the country." Governor Buni said
Also the executive Chairman of Potiskum Local Government Area, Hon. Salisu Muktari, confirmed that this success was achieved following the efforts and commitment made by Governor Buni to improve agriculture, provide security, improve trade, and revive the economy of Yobe State.
"The presence of our governor, Hon. "Mai Mala Buni CON, COMN, is committed to ensuring that the agricultural, livestock, and business sectors are modernised, and the reason for the success of this local government is because it is through his contribution and good management that we have gained the confidence to approach this major international conference that was held." Salisu Muktari added
