Side by side we walked together,and there it was again
That painful truth
"why don't things work for me"?
"what did I do to deserve all this"?
I could hear the crack in her voice
She was holding back tears
And sadly I had no answers
"Do you think God still loves me, I do all I can for him to love me"
And between us lay the sting of betrayal
"It'll all be fine" that's all I can mutter
And with that I still kneel by her side
To pray, to seek
That maybe he just heals her heart
