God's Blue Tick: Verified By Fire — Part Three

The Algorithm Of Heaven's Media
💊💊💊
The first time Christian heard about Heaven’s verification, he thought it would come the same way Instagram does it, clean profile, enough engagement, and one powerful prayer post that would make the CEO notice him. He had seen people online with blue ticks flaunting their status like royalty. Some even added “verified” beside their names on WhatsApp. So when Pastor Jide said during Bible study that only those verified by fire will stand, Christian smirked. He had never liked anything that involved fire.

That night, as he lay on his bed, his phone light dancing faintly on the ceiling, a thought dropped quietly in his heart. “Do you really want Heaven’s blue tick?”

He turned to the other side, half-asleep, but the question followed him like a shadow. He tried to scroll through X (formerly known as Twitter), but his internet was suddenly gone. No connection. He sighed, plugged the phone, and closed his eyes.

That was when the dream began.

He found himself in a wide, golden hall filled with millions of glowing screens. Each screen showed faces, familiar ones, strangers, even old classmates. Above each name was either a blue tick or a dull gray circle. Some profiles flashed with fire before the tick appeared. Others melted into ash before verification could show.

“Welcome to Heaven’s Verification Center,” a voice said from behind him. Christian turned and saw a figure clothed in light, his face calm but his eyes deep, like they had seen both laughter and war.

Christian pointed at the screens. “So these are the people who made it?”

The figure smiled. “These are the ones who passed through the process. Everyone wants the tick, but not everyone endures the test.”

Christian’s gaze settled on one screen, a young woman singing joyfully in a small church while rain leaked through the roof. Her followers count was “12.” Yet, flames surrounded her, not consuming her but refining her. When the fire cleared, a blue tick appeared beside her name.

He moved to another, a man in a fancy suit, holding a microphone in front of thousands. His bio read "Heaven’s Ambassador." His followers count was “1.3M.” Christian expected the blue tick to shine quickly, but the moment fire came, the man’s profile cracked. His words melted, his likes vanished, and his name dimmed out completely.

Christian turned back to the glowing figure. “But why? He had a lot of followers.”

“Followers don’t mean approval,” the figure said quietly. “The fire doesn’t verify popularity. It verifies purity.”

Christian swallowed hard. “So… no one can buy this tick?”

There was a brief pause.

To be continued...

Hah! Verification algorithms are so overrated. Every time I check my followers, it’s like seeing a new set of eyes staring at me from across the room. Hopefully, this verification thing doesn’t turn into some kind of fire show where they burn you if you’re not exactly 'verified enough.'

Verification's tricky, huh? Makes me wonder why someone with so many followers doesn’t make the cut. Maybe it's all about authenticity over numbers.

It's really funny how not everyone gets those blue ticks easily. It’s like the whole verification thing is such a battle for so many of us.

The creativity behind this post is really impressive! It makes me think about how we judge people in real life, just like those verification processes online. I can totally relate to Christian's skepticism—it’s funny how we all want that blue tick, but it’s not always worth it. The message about authenticity being more important than followers is spot on. I guess everyone has their way of measuring success, but in the end, it's who truly deserves recognition.

Verification always feels so intense. Like everyone just wants a blue tick but we all know how that doesn't really mean anything. Just like in real life where people check followers before sharing their best work.

Social media's verification algorithms remind me of how quickly a false impression can fade. It's interesting to see how authenticity is more valuable than just checking off metrics.

Verification in digital spaces is like a sieve—some get through, others don’t. But I guess the real treasure is what’s left behind even if it doesn’t have that blue tick. Maybe those who truly deserve it are worth it to begin with.
