Nestled in the bustling Kicukiro District, Gikondo Recreation Grounds is transforming from an industrial zone into one of Kigali’s most anticipated urban parks. This expansive space is part of an ambitious wetland restoration project aimed at rejuvenating Kigali’s environment while offering residents a refreshing spot for leisure and culture.

The wetland covers about 162 hectares and plays a vital role in controlling floods, supporting biodiversity, and cleaning city waters.
