The executive chairman of Potiskum local government area Hon. Salisu Muktari has taken responsibility for cleaning the streets (roads) in Potiskum town after the dirty sand that was caused by the spring wind that buried some parts of the streets (Roads) with sand.
The fact that Potiskum is one of the 17 local governments in Yobe state, the state is known to stand out due to its own nature in the country, which is the desert.
As a result of that desert sand has buried many roads of the local authority, and it also causes traffic congestion due to the narrowing of the roads, and it also expands the space for pedestrians where it provides a small angle for vehicles to pass.
The Honourable Chairman has taken responsibility for cleaning the roads to improve transportation and improve the traffic system, which can be a threat to the health, property, and economy of the local government area.
Today, been 20, Jan, 2025 the second day of the cleaning of Potiskum city roads has continued, where garbage is being carried out on the Potiskum main city road (Mohammed Idriss Road).
This initiative will greatly help to develop a better travel system for the communities of Potiskum LGA.
