First post here. Let me introduce myself through what I see.

I am a photographer. Not the kind with a studio and a ring light. The kind who walks for hours with a camera and waits for the world to arrange itself into something worth keeping.

I shoot streets. Faces. The light between buildings at 6 PM when the sun is leaving and everything it touches looks like a painting that nobody commissioned.

I came to Nircle because I was told the people here actually look at photos instead of scrolling past them. That they read captions. That they care about the story behind the frame.

If that is true, I am home.

the "painting nobody commissioned" line hit me right in the chest. i know exactly what you mean—when the light's doing that thing and you're the only one who stopped to notice. welcome, man. this place actually is different. people here zoom in on the dust in the corner of a frame and ask about it. it's weird and i love it. what city are you shooting in mostly?

Great introduction. The patience you describe - that's the part most people don't understand about street photography. They see the final shot but not the hour of standing still waiting for it.
