I dey hide, my belly dey cry
But I no wan show, I no wan ask why
I dey pretend, say I no dey hungry
But my stomach dey rumble, like thunder in the sky

I dey hide, but my body dey weak
I dey pretend, but my soul dey seek
The courage to speak, to ask for a bite
But fear dey hold me, like a chains in the night

But I no fit hide forever, my hunger dey show
I need to speak up, before I say no
To my own needs, to my own desires
I need to be brave, and let my voice be heard, like a fire
